By accessing or using Splitrr ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including Coordinators and Payers.
Splitrr is a web-based group payment platform that allows a Coordinator to create a payment split link and share it with Payers. Payers contribute their share via the link. Funds are collected and settled directly to the Coordinator's registered bank account via Paystack.
You agree to: provide accurate bank account and personal information; use the Service only for lawful purposes; not impersonate any person or entity; not use the Service to facilitate fraud, money laundering, or any illegal activity. Splitrr reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
As a Coordinator, you are responsible for: ensuring the legitimacy of the payment split; accurately representing what funds are being collected for; promptly communicating with Payers about the split purpose; and ensuring your bank account details are correct. Splitrr is not responsible for disputes between Coordinators and Payers.
All payments are processed by Paystack, licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). By using Splitrr, you also agree to Paystack's Terms of Service. A service fee, covering both payment processing costs and Splitrr's service, is added to each Payer's contribution at checkout and clearly displayed before payment is confirmed. The Coordinator receives the full amount they are collecting for, with no deduction. Settlement to the Coordinator's bank account is typically T+1 business day via Paystack's automatic settlement system.
Splitrr adds a service fee to each individual payment made by a Payer, calculated and displayed before they confirm payment. For contributions up to ₦133,000, the fee is approximately 1%, covering both payment processing and Splitrr's service. For contributions above ₦133,000, a flat fee of ₦3,500 applies. This fee is the same for both Equal Split and Open Split, and is calculated independently on every payment. Coordinators are never charged a fee and always receive 100% of the amount collected. Splitrr reserves the right to modify fees with 30 days notice to registered users.
Splitrr does not process refunds directly. All refund requests must be initiated by the Coordinator and processed through Paystack's refund system. Splitrr is not liable for disputes between Coordinators and Payers regarding the use of collected funds. Payers should only contribute to splits from Coordinators they trust.
Splitrr collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. Bank account numbers are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
All content, design, and technology on Splitrr is the intellectual property of Splitrr and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.
Splitrr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
Splitrr shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of funds due to third-party fraud; delays caused by Paystack or banking institutions; technical failures or downtime; or errors in bank account information provided by users. Our total liability shall not exceed fees paid by you to Splitrr in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Splitrr reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Registered users will be notified by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
